Baranzate
Milan design week
2024
In 2024, Thibeau Scarcériaux presented an exhibition in Baranzate, bringing together a selection of his own objects alongside two new works: War Pillars and War Curtain. The exhibition explored themes of conflict, power, and human vulnerability through a restrained and physical spatial composition.
The existing works were recontextualized as part of a unified landscape, while the new pieces expanded the narrative. War Pillars translate structures of authority and violence into sober, architectural forms, evoking both support and oppression. War Curtain introduces a fragile yet confrontational presence, operating as a threshold between visibility and concealment.
Rather than offering a fixed statement, the exhibition invited reflection, positioning the viewer within a space where material, body, and meaning subtly intersect.
